We are happy you are here. Welcome to our community!
This website is maintained by the Duveneck Elementary PTA – Parent Teacher Association. We are parents and teachers who support Duveneck Elementary School, and one of our goals is to provide different opportunities for parents, teachers and students to engage with one another in order to strengthen our community.
If you are interested in learning more about the PTA, come join one of our quarterly Association meetings (dates/times are listed on the calendar). You can become a member of the PTA for $10.00, which allows you to vote in these meetings and is also a requirement to join the PTA board.
We try to make it easy for everyone to join in. Please check out our calendar to see our upcoming events.
Please explore our website to learn about our different programs and events. We also invite you to subscribe to our weekly newsletter, which we call eNews, to get the latest news about what is happening on our campus. eNews is sent via ParentSquare to all parents and guardians who provided an email address to the district during the annual data update and said it was okay to share it with the PTA. If you’d like to change your email notification settings, log into ParentSquare and change the settings using the “My Account” link. If you have an additional caretaker who wants to sign up to receive eNews, have them email enews@duveneck.org.
Would you like to connect with other families?
- During the summer, the PTA hosts several playdates for our Incoming Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten families and for New Families who have transferred into Duveneck. Please check our calendar for dates and times. All playdates take place at Duveneck.
- Each grade will also have Grade Socials in the late summer and for back-to-school. Parents volunteer to take turns to host social events for all of the students and their families. These are fun opportunities for us to get to know one another.
- Another great place to start is to meet your Room Parents when we return to school. Each classroom will have 1-2 parents who have volunteered to be the liaison or connection point between the parents, students and teachers with the intent of building a community.
- Our directory is online at ParentSquare.com.
Although it is not run by the PTA, we encourage you to sign up for the Duveneck Google Group to chat with your neighbors, comprising current Duveneck families as well as alums .
