What is it?
Parents are invited to attend the PTA General Association Meeting on Monday, August 22nd from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in person in the Flex Room on the Duveneck Campus.
Why does it matter?
The agenda is jam packed with some great information for ALL parents:
- Anne Brown (Assistant Superintendent of Elementary)will be our key speaker touching on important topics including:
- New English Language Arts curriculum
- New Science curriculum
- New SEL curriculum
- Dedicated counselor programs that provide support at Duveneck 5 days per week
- Learn about PTA’s Fall events
- Understand how the PTA will be budgeting funds this year
What does it mean to me?
This is a great opportunity to learn more about the new and exciting curricula at your child’s school and delve deeper into their future learning! We are also excited to show you how your generous donations will be used to further the life-enriching opportunities for our great kids at Duveneck. In addition:
- Meet and get to know Principal Crane
- Mingle with other parents at Duveneck
- Enjoy some refreshments

These FUNdraising parties build up our amazing community, support our school and give you a flavor of what’s to come in our Just Parties! Everyone is warmly invited to Duveneck’s annual celebration of our vibrantly diverse cultures and cuisines. Please mark your calendars, start thinking of what favorite dish you’d like to share, and stay tuned for details! This is our first major community event of the year and it’s easy to be a part of! Whether you partner with other parents to create a country table, bring a dish to share with others, organize a cultural performance, help decorate the school, or simply show up and celebrate with other families, International Potluck is sure to be a favorite of kids and adults alike!

Duveneck’s biggest event is returning for the first time in three years! On Saturday, October 22nd, the Duveneck campus will be transformed into a fun-filled carnival with food, games and activities, a Haunted House, Pumpkin Patch, & more! This event brings together families, friends, and neighbors for an afternoon of fun. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

Also, please consider donating to both the PTA and PiE this year as our rich curriculum is only possible through the generosity of our community. Donations can be made for Duveneck PTA here and for PiE here.
This year’s Back to School Night will be held in person on Tuesday, August 16th from 6:00 to 7:15 pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know your child’s teacher, see their classroom, and learn about the upcoming year.
- 6:00-6:30 PM: Grades TK-2
- 6:30-6:40 PM: Welcome Ceremony on the blacktop
- 6:45-7:15 PM: Grades 3-5
Since this will be the first in person Back to School Night in a number of years, the school is asking our help to ensure that everyone feels safe.
- Consider sending one (1) person per family to Back to School Night.
- Please wear a mask at all times while in the classroom(s).
- This event is for adults only, so please, no children allowed.
