On Friday September 8, students will show their school spirit by wearing a hat or by styling their hair in a crazy way!
Participation is completely optional, but students often enjoy the chance to be silly together. If your student prefers not to wear a hat or crazy hair, everyone is welcome to wear our school spirit colors of blue and white. Thank you for supporting our school!
The Harvest Carnival is a long standing Duveneck community tradition. Duveneck is transformed into a carnival filled with games, prizes, a Booveneck House, baked goods, food and MORE! It is a fun-filled event for everyone (Duveneck staff, family, friends, neighbors)… so please invite others to join you! And don’t forget to mark it on your calendar – Saturday, October 21st, 12pm-3pm (or use the PTA Calendar). Your kids will not want your family to miss this!
Parents, are you looking for ideas to support your children with all the technology in PAUSD?
Our Technology Coordinator, Emily Garrison, will be presenting to parents on Tuesday, September 5th, in the Duveneck Elementary School multipurpose room from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.
Topics will include PAUSD and school websites, Infinite Campus, Schoology, Digital Citizenship, Upcoming Parent Tech Sessions, Recommended Practices for Tech at Home, and more.
Over the last week of school, we have seen many near-accidents involving students riding their bicycles and scooters around the halls and playground areas right after school is dismissed. Please do not let your child ride his/her bicycle or scooter after school until 25 minutes has passed and the crowds have dispersed. Please follow the signs of the Red Top that say Walk Your Wheels. Thank you for your help in promoting a safe environment!
UPDATE: Some class start dates have changed. Please check with the class provider.
The 3 page Fall After School Class Schedule went home in the Friday Folder on August 18. You can also click here to see the schedule and links to the class providers on the Duveneck school website. Please note that Duveneck does not provide supervision to Kinders between their dismissal time and the start of the class. Classes will begin September 11-15.
We are parents and teachers who support Duveneck Elementary School in Palo Alto, CA. As a community, we help create the school we want our children to have by providing funding for school equipment and materials, hosting community events, and providing enrichment programs for parents, teachers and students.
